The Antipodeans has provided the bulk of the top 10 for Day one after 3 races.  Micha Heemskerk (7pts overall) of the Netherlands took the day (2nd, 3rd, 2nd) with consistency the key in a big breeze.  Current world Champ Aussie Steven Brewin (11pts overall) dominated the first two races with 2 bullets but dropped in the overall ranks to 3rd with a 9th in Race 3.  In second is Brad Collet also from Australia on 9 points (4th, 2nd, 3rd).

So we have 4 Aussies in the top 10 (6 in the top 10).  3 Kiwis and Micha Heemskerk make up the rest of the Top 10.

With the breeze up at 22-25 knots it was boat breaking stuff.  Ben Moon broke 2 masts in the day.  The forecast is for more Breeze.
