A strong Australian Sailing Youth Team heading to Cyprus.
Earlier in February the Australian Sailing Youth Team for 2013 was announced. Included in the list was Drummoyne student Harry Price and crew Angus Williams. Harry is a year 12 student at The Scots College in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs and Angus is at Sydney Church of England Grammar School on the north Shore. Both will be representing the Australian Sailing Youth Team for the first time at the ISAF Youth Sailing World Championships in Cyprus this July.
A new combination
The two have only been sailing together for a short while but have shown they have melded together to form a potent team. They took the 29er OAMPS Australian Youth Championships in the final race. This secured their spot on the trip to Cyprus. Harry is going to be posting here on Green and Gold Sailing about their campaign along with news from the Youth Sailing Team.
Then onto the 29er Worlds
Because taking on the worlds best youth in Cyprus isn’t enough – Harry and Gus will be taking on the open Worlds in Aarhus, Denmark in July. The fellas are on the water 5 days a week and have the full support of their Family, friends, coaches and Schools. What they do need is some funding help. To help them out – why not donate even a few $$ to their Double Worlds Effort.
