Hunters Hill Sailing Club

Hunters Hill Sailing Club is a family-orientated sailing club located on the Woolwich Peninsular of Hunters Hill with a focus on junior sailing and on water safety
Racing is conducted from August to April on the wide expanses of the lower Parramatta River (Western Sydney Harbour). Five classes of dinghies are sailed at the club: Sabots, F11′s, Mirrors, 420s, Lasers (Full, Radial & 4.7) and NS14s.

Coaching for beginning sailors, conducted in Mirror Dinghies, starts at the Sailing Camp in October. The Nipper’s course comprises 8 weeks of coaching sessions through the sailing season until February. The aim is for sailors to learn basic skills that will allow them to graduate to sailing or crewing their own boat.

Great review Gibbo, loved the google maps fly-over.

HHSC looks like a great club, when my boys a bit older I reckon I’ll get him down there to learn the ropes. What age can they start dinghy training?

  • Gibbo

The training programs are for kids 7+ years of age. But an experienced parent and a beginner child can sail a Mirror when the kids are 5 or 6.
