After steering the “White Tiger” to some impressive results in the AC45s in San Francisco last month Outteridge is the 2nd skipper to leave Team Korea.  His close training mates and Olympic 49er silver medallist, Peter Burling from NZ take the helm.  The Independent reports that Team Korea is struggling to raise the funds to mount a significant 34th America’s Cup Campaign in 2013 and will focus on putting together a 72 footer –  AC 35 (whenever that will be).  Team Korea is definately still competing in the America’s Cup world series in the smaller AC45′s.

Having just sailed to a 3rd in the Farr 40 Worlds this guys is proving to be one of the best, excelling across the board Mono hull yachts, Wing sailed Cats, Foiling moths and the Olympic class 49er – Outteridge is reportedly going to Skipper the 2nd Artemis Boat in the AC45s – 2 Boats that he beat in the Team Korea boat in San Fran.  Seems like a handy poach by Artemis considering they are geared up for a full tilt at the Big Show in the AC72s

Great scoop Gibbo. Allegedly became actual. What’s somewhat disappointing for Nath is that Artemis have a skipper (Terry Hutchinson) for their tilt at the trophy, and it’s unlikely he’ll have any more glory than being part of the team should they win.
